I Know What You Did Last Summer

It’s the Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, which means backyard BBQs, cold brews, and let’s not forget fireworks. These traditions and celebrations go back to the 18th century when the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence; however, it wasn’t until 1941 that July 4th became a federal holiday here in America.

To celebrate we got in our car and headed four hours north east to the small towns of Burgaw and Southport, North Carolina. But why? Well in 1997 – a horror film by the title of I Know What You Did Last Summer was released. It starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddy Prinze Jr., and Ryan Phillippe – four friends who while out celebrating the holiday accidentally run over a man and to cover it up dump his body into the water. However, he didn’t die. A year later he returned to seek his vengeance.

This led to a two part vlog where we visited the locations for the film, compared and contrasted the book that it’s based on to the movie and created a multimedia site for it. Link below! These were also the vlogs created in Season One due to Michael being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
