Despite the film’s critical failure, mostly due to the lack of Michael Myers, a novelization for the film was published in 1982 becoming a best-seller. The book was even reissued two years after the film’s release.
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch

Unpopular opinion, I’m a huge fan of Halloween 3, even though I’m not a huge fan of science-fiction. When I was 14 years old, I went through a phase of being completely obsessed with horror films and began collecting the Halloween series. Season of the Witch was nearly impossible to find. However, while visiting a local used bookstore I came across this copy as well as a copy of Carrie (that I’ll eventually share here) and I snatched both copies up! How could I not? John Carpenter and Debra Hill were completely ahead of their time with wanting to make the series an anthology telling different stories each year and as much as I love Michael Myers and all of those different timelines, it is interesting wondering what could have happened if they would have stuck to that formula.
The Background 12 – In 2018 the Halloween series reintroduced itself bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and changing the mythology of the series! With one line, they transformed Michael from brother to boogeyman restoring a purity to the series. The backdrop for this photo is one of the locations used in the film when the Boogeyman begins stalking the streets of Haddonfield Illinois. Last year I visited the filming locations used for 2018 installment of the franchise. You can watch that vlog on my Youtube Channel youtube.com/operationadventure.
